This months theme is community helpers. We use use math, science and communication skills in all that we do.
Marble run: teaches problem solving, team work, visual tracking, fine motor skills.
Street signs: are a great shape and color review and a way of communication.
Doctors and Xrays: use science everyday to help people.
Store workers: working at a store requires counting money, organization skills, and communicating with customers.
We have been reviewing patterns with straws and dowels. It requires a lot of fine motor and hand eye coordination.
We needed a reminder of how to make orange. Finger painting is always a big hit with kids :)
